We serve our guests breakfast and dinner, with an optional packed lunch available for a small fee. A breakfast buffet provides the necessary energy for a day of adventure in the Troll Peninsula, while a full service, three course dinner wraps up the day perfectly.
SOURCED FROM LOCAL PROVIDERS
We are proud of the strong roots the Fljót region has in fishing and agriculture. We source our lamb locally, and while the fishing has moved to Siglufjörður since the heyday of activity in Haganesvík, we pride ourselves in obtaining our marine delicacies from local fishermen there and in the nearby Hofsós village.
BASED ON SEASONS BOUNTIES
Every season has a special flavor, despite the harshness of the climate by the arctic circle.
In springtime, while we wait for nature to flourish again, birds provide us with the eggs that traditionally ensured fresh vitamins and energy after the long winter. The summer opens up to the greenery of nature, first, through the herbs and leaves that naturally flavor our food; and later the berries that grow on mountainsides and hillocks all around us. The autumn is a time for hunting and fishing – and harvest from our vegetable gardens.
